Had a similar experience where the guild group of friends lost a few key people and we weren't able to get raid groups together - which is annoying if you make the effort to be around on a given evening. Ashley's advice about the steam sale is good - loads of great deals there at the moment. I gave up about 2 months ago and really enjoying getting to experience more variety of games (and getting back into FPSs).
