Alone In The Heather

I love scenes like this, shot on a hike in the Dunkeld area recently. The heather has made the landscape such a lovely colour, despite the intense heatwave a few weeks ago. I’m glad it has survived. I’ve seen other photographers’ images of their local heather looking devastated by the dry conditions. Thankfully we’re getting more rain now and things are perking up again.

Shot handheld with the Sony A7ii and 100-400mm.
