Nature and fine art photography by Cat Burton.

When looking through my photo library to see which photos I should edit to share with you today, this one caught my eye.

I think it’s because I’m very much looking forward to autumn and winter.

Summer is lovely, but I am a big fan of the cooler days, fewer midges, and quieter countryside.

Autumn and winter always feel so peaceful.

As a photographer, I love their colours and especially the simplicity of winter.

Everything starts to feel rather magical and cosy.

Are you looking forward to the seasons changing like I am? Or are you hoping summer will stretch on a while longer?
