My Imaginary Friend is intended to reveal how I imagine the world when I’m taking photographs for my artworks.
Since many of my artworks are composites (made of multiple photographs), I often imagine what it would be like if a deer, wolf or flock of birds were in the scene at the time of shooting.
I very often frame my photographs with this in mind so that I can add creatures to them in post-production.
This composite is made from two images – the original landscape with the tree (from Calton Hill in Edinburgh) and a separate photograph of the deer.
