Games

I’ve been in the games industry since 2008, working on projects for all platforms; from Flash (RIP), to mobile, PC/Mac and consoles.

As is typical for the games industry, many projects are still NDA’d, and many more got cancelled. But here are a few I am particularly proud to have been involved with!

Vesper

I co-founded Vesper in 2023 and the project started out with me building a prototype to see if we could generate fully playable 3D worlds using a library of assets and a cutting edge tech stack and a bunch of procedural generation. Skip forward to 2025 and the team had grown to 12 people (all fully remote) and secured 7-figure pre-seed and seed funding rounds. For reasons noted in my bio, I stepped away from the company at the start of 2025 and unfortunately Vesper stopped game development in spring 2025.

Wonders: Pyramids of Giza (Fortnite / UEFN)

While at Preloaded I worked on the Wonders project. Our team studied so much history of Ancient Egypt while learning how to use UEFN. What I loved about this project was not only the incredibly detailed art produced by the team, but the fact I once again got to work on a game that was educational. You can find the full details over on Preloaded’s website.

Moshi Monsters

Moshi Monsters was a wonderful edu-tainment-meets-tamagatchi Flash game for kids. It was a small beta in 2008 when I joined the team and by the time I left in 2012 we had over 50 million players worldwide. It peaked at 80 million users, with merch available in shops all around the world. To this day it’s the project I’m most proud of. I still have a drawing of one of the Moshlings (a goth version of Oddie) which one of the young fans sent to our office in Battersea. Good times!

Colorful cartoon characters resembling monsters and animals are gathered outdoors on a grassy hill under a blue sky with clouds. In the center, a large furry brown creature with big blue eyes is smiling. To its right, a pink cat-like character with blue eyes and a blue collar is standing. To the left, an orange and brown tiger-like creature with big eyes is sitting. Behind, a blue and purple monster with spiky hair and a toothy grin is raising one hand, while a floating red and black ball-shaped monster with large eyes and a wide grin hovers above. To the right, a red cherry character with a green stem hat and blue shoes is floating, and above the characters, the title 'Moshi Monsters' appears in colorful bubble letters.

The Bradwell Conspiracy

My friend Georg Backer started A Brave Plan and brought together an amazing team of people to create The Bradwell Conspiracy. A sort of Portal-puzzles-meets-brutalist-architecture game, it’s incredibly fun but somehow fell under the radar of most people. It’s available on Steam! Please play it! <3

All three are smiling, with the person on the right wearing yellow sunglasses and the person on the left wearing glasses and a floral necklace. Science Museum / Wonderlab AR

This project by the team at Preloaded used augmented reality and location-based play to reveal science facts in the world around us. It’s available on the App Store and you can read more about the project over on Preloaded’s website.

Audi: Next Level

I worked on this project with the fantastic team at The Mill. We created a game where you can race around procedurally generated tracks in Audi cars. Players were able to connect to their own music libraries on iOS to soundtrack the driving themselves.

If You Can

If you Can was a wonderful team and project. I knew this team via the co-founder Ben Geliher who I’d met previously at Mind Candy. They brought me in as a freelancer to help them in the early days, carrying on my love for working on games that provide stealth education for children. A game for iPad, it sadly isn’t around today. You can find more details about the project in this article.

Forager

My wonderful friend Nate Gallardo and I teamed up to make cosy autumnal squirrel adventures in the form of Forager! Nate did an incredible job with the graphics and game design, and I did my best with code. Turns out first-person-squirrel-controllers are not easy co code! We had a fun time though and ended up releasing an early (albeit very buggy) build on Itch.io. One of the highlights for me was having the game playable at EGX Rezzed in Birmingham. Nate looked after the stand and watched for bugs, and I spent the whole time hotfixing and redeploying new builds. It was an amazing experience.
